The Kansas City Chiefs were on the verge of having the injury bug before the season even started.

Two of their key players hadn't played much of the preseason due to some injuries, and the question had been in the air on whether or not they'd play Week 1 against the Cardinals.

JuJu Smith-Schuster, the team's projected number one receiver of the year, had some knee issues after the first preseason game against the Chicago Bears. Since then, he has been working to get the issue resolved, including not playing in the final preseason game.

As for Marquez Valdes-Scantling, the team projected number two receiver, he was dealing with something of his own. He entered the concussion protocol on August 26th and is now doing just fine.

On Monday, the Chiefs head coach let everyone know the status of the two newcomers.

"They'll be ready to roll going forward here," Reid told the media. "Everyone went [practice] today, and today was a good fast-paced practice."

The Chiefs will need all hands on deck against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. They are known for having great starts to the season, as last year they were 9-2 entering their bye week, and started out 7-0.

Not only will the Chiefs need everyone, but they will definitely need their two best receivers.

Luckily, they will be playing on Sunday.
