The Kansas City Chiefs completed their final practice of the 2023 NFL regular season ahead of their Week 18 tilt with the Los Angeles Chargers.
Chiefs HC Andy Reid updated reporters on the injury situation heading into the season finale in Los Angeles.
“The guys that will be listed as out are (Rashee) Rice, Donovan Smith, (L’Jarius) Sneed and (Kadarius) Toney, everybody else will be up and ready to go," Reid said.
Which players exactly does "everybody else" entail? Let's dive in.
A chance Kelce, Jones, and Pacheco will play:
Patrick Mahomes is unlikely to play on Sunday, but will some of his counterparts on offense and defense get some playing time?
Reid was asked about Travis Kelce, who has a 1,000-yard season milestone ahead of him. People seem eager to help him achieve it, but Reid wouldn't say whether he'd play or sit on Sunday.
“No, nothing finalized yet," Reid said. "We’ll see how it all goes, how it works out.”
The same goes for RB Isiah Pacheco, who is approaching 1,000 yards for the first time in his career and set out to accomplish that goal.
"There’s a chance of that yeah, but (we’re) still working though that," Reid concluded.
Chris Jones, who returned to practice on Friday, is in the same boat as Pacheco and Kelce it would seem.
