The Kansas City Chiefs have ruled out a single player and deemed two players questionable ahead of their Week 9 tilt with the Miami Dolphins in Frankfurt, Germany.

Andy Reid spoke with reporters on Friday morning, confirming that RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire did not travel with the team and was ruled out due to his illness. He added that LB Willie Gay Jr. was a limited participant in practice. He also wasn't ready to confirm whether WR Richie James would be activated to the 53-man roster from injured reserve after participating in practice all week.

Ultimately, the team will have some personnel decisions to make on Saturday ahead of their international series game.

Observations:

  • Willie Gay Jr. is expected to be a true game-time decision on Sunday.
  • It's good news that Jerick McKinnon practiced in full on Friday, but still look for the team to elevate RB La'Mical Perine from the practice squad.
