Even after winning the AFC West, one Broncos player still can’t get the Chiefs off his mind in the weirdest way possible

The Chiefs will always live rent-free in the Broncos’ heads.

The Kansas City Chiefs are missing the playoffs for the first time since 2014. Since 2016, they have run the AFC West, owning the Denver Broncos, Las Vegas Raiders, and Los Angeles Chargers. At one point, the Chiefs won 15 straight against the Broncos – that’s how out of hand it got.

So, the first time Denver wins the AFC West in ten years, they should be worried about what an accomplishment it is for them. And, honestly, it’s huge for their franchise. They have been in a drought since their Super Bowl win over the Carolina Panthers. With Sean Payton as the head coach, you knew they would eventually get out of the dungeon.

Winning the AFC West is a significant achievement for the team, and they should celebrate and take pride in their accomplishment. However, it’s curious that one player is still focused on the Chiefs, even after their victory. Days after defeating Kansas City, Jonathan Cooper tweeted about the Chiefs in an oddly specific way, right after they clinched the division title with the Houston Texans beating the Chargers on Saturday.

Since this is a family website, we cover every NFL team and a ton of college football teams, so it’s best to leave curse words out of the text. You never know if a young fan is reading. However, Cooper’s tweets were pretty bad.

Cooper tweeted that at 1:44 am on Dec. 28. For some odd reason, he may have woken up in the middle of the night with the Chiefs on his mind. It’s weird, but if you were on the Broncos since 2021 and had lost to the Chiefs six times, you’d hate the Chiefs, too.

As for Kansas City, they’ll be back.
