Kansas City Chiefs fans will have to wait until around 2 p.m. CT to find out whether a particular star player will play against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 17.

Cornerback L'Jarius Sneed, who didn't practice this week, is considered a game-time decision heading into the game, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Sneed sustained a calf injury during the Chiefs' Christmas Day loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Sneed has been the team's best cornerback, and arguably best defensive player, during the 2023 season.

Kansas City has a chance to clinch the AFC West in Week 17, making Sneed's presence all the more important. A win over the Bengals this week likely locks the Chiefs' into the No. 3 seed, meaning the team could rest its starters in Week 18 against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chiefs can't earn a bye in the postseason, so being able to rest starters in the final week of the regular season would be the next best thing.
