The Kansas City Chiefs are going to be without one of their fan favorites now.
While it isn’t really that big of a deal, it’s sad to see a guy like Matthew Wright go. Wright filled in for Harrison Butker while he was injured and played amazing.
He set an Arrowhead Stadium record for the longest field goal made, which was later broken by Butker next week.
Wright stepped in and did exactly what he was supposed to, if not better. His play earned him a roster spot on another team, as he was sent down to the practice squad when Butker came back.
The Pittsburgh Steelers signed Wright to their roster off the Chiefs practice squad on Wednesday. The Chiefs were happy to have him.
The Steelers are getting a hell of a guy kicking between the uprights, and a guy that became a fan favorite in his short time in Kansas City.
