The Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator reveals what he does to help the league's best quarterback improve during OTAs.

Which, is crazy, right? How does the league's best quarterback, and maybe the most physically talented quarterback to ever play, get better? Well, everyone can get better, even the greatest quarterback of all time in Tom Brady had flaws.

But for Mahomes, he is always working on trying to top what he did the year prior. Matt Nagy, the Chiefs' new offensive coordinator, gave a little insight as to exactly what they work on this time of year.

"Yeah, I would say that for us, you know, that he does so many things really well," Nagy said to the media on Thursday. "So you want to try to find the things that he can either improve at or even if it's, you can always go back to footwork and timing with any quarterback. And we try to stress that.

But at the same point in time, too, I think the other thing would be working with his progressions, getting to numbers three and four is always another thing that instead of maybe trying to force a throw here or there, which I thought he did a good job last year of making smart decisions work into that third, fourth, and sometimes that fifth progression in the play. So really, in training camp, we will really be able to focus on that with the pads."

The Chiefs don't need another MVP season out of Mahomes, but he is good enough to quite literally top what he did last season. Of course, a lot of things factor into that too like the offensive line and receiver room. It's cool to basically hear Nagy say that there is still room for improvement though. Mahomes, the best quarterback in the league, and one of the greatest to ever do it is human, and he can still get better. But then again, you think about how old he is, and he isn't even in his prime yet.
