The Kansas City Chiefs have been a part of some drama this offseason when it comes to Chris Jones and the extension we are all expecting him to receive.

Jones was the best defensive tackle in the league last year, even better than Aaaron Donald, who had a down year. So, it's only right that he thinks he get more money now that it's time for an extension.

However, the rumors are saying he and the Chiefs may not be completely on the same side just yet. The last time this happened in 2019, Jones didn't show up to some training camp. This time around, we could expect the same thing.

On Tuesday, the Chiefs opened up to the media before training camp gets started, and head coach Andy Reid was asked if he knew if Jones would be there.

"I don't know that," Reid said. "We'll have to just see how that goes. I mean, there is communication going on; that's the important part. Then, we just have to see."

There is a very big chance we don't see him for a while. The Chiefs have a history of doing things later in the offseason rather than early. They did this with some of their free-agent signings, too, like Carlos Dunlap last season.

If we are going to see it get done, you hope it's soon so Jones can be a part of camp.
