The Kansas City Chiefs have several matchups on their schedule that could potentially be great games, but one analyst recommends the perfect scenario for the season opener.

The Kansas City Chiefs are one of the teams that have a ton of primetime games every single year. Sure, if you aren't a fan of the Chiefs, or even hate them for some odd reason, it can be annoying. But, that's what happens when you have Patrick Mahomes as your quarterback, and you win two Super Bowls in four years.

This year, we can expect the same. Not only are they the defending Super Bowl champions, but they have several out-of-division rivalries created over the last few years just because of how good the games have been, all of those lined up on their schedule. They had five primetime games last year coming off of an AFC Championship game loss. Just imagine how it will be this year.

One analyst proposed the best scenario for the Chiefs' season opener, and I don't know how many people would be upset if it were to happen. In fact, I think people would be upset if it wasn't the season opener.

Season opener prediction: Chiefs vs. Eagles

Date: Thursday, Sept. 7

The only thing guaranteed about the Week 1 kickoff right now is Kansas City as the host. There are other intriguing possibilities, such as high-octane playoff rematches with the Bengals and Bills. But fresh off a start-to-finish shootout with the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII, the Chiefs would draw a sure audience by welcoming a motivated Jalen Hurts to Arrowhead. –Cody Benjamin, CBS Sports

The Chiefs have a ton of different options they can do for a home opener or even a season opener. But, why not have a rematch of the Super Bowl, one of the best Super Bowls we have ever watched? Both teams will still be very good, and both quarterbacks are in their prime and at the top of the league. Of course, there is the Kelce narrative and all of the other things we discussed before the Super Bowl.

If it isn't this one, I would like to go ahead and get the Bengals matchup out of the way when the team is as healthy as they will be all season. The rivalry is real, so, why not. We will just have to wait and see what happens on Thursday when the schedule is released.
