One NFL analyst has the Chefs making a huge move in the upcoming 2023 NFL Draft, and it would be a move that would make Patrick Mahomes very happy.

The Chiefs have a history of being aggressive in the draft for the guys they want. As of late, it was cornerback Trent McDuffie last season, who they traded up to get. They needed a cornerback and cornerback depth and were able to go and get their guy.

One NFL analyst seems to think they will do the same thing this year, only for a skilled position. The Chiefs need receivers and could trade up to do that. Here is what Tony Pauline at Pro Football Network is hearing about the Chiefs moving up to potentially grab one of those big-named receivers:

Kansas City will look to move up from the back end of Round 1 for one of the receivers. Most say it’s Zay Flowers, but I know they also like Quentin Johnston. Someone close to the organization told me Chiefs general manager Brett Veach doesn’t care about the picks at this point but rather prioritizes players.

Both of those guys are viewed as top three receivers prospects in this draft behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Flowers is a guy that has crazy speed and can get behind the secondary with good route running.

For Johnston, the runner-up to the National Championships, he is a big body that has an impressive catch radius, and once he gets the ball can make guys miss. His route running is good, but his hands do need a little work.

The Chiefs are destined to make some moves in this draft, now it is just about who they get and where. This draft will be one that helps set them up for success in the near future.
