The Kansas City Chiefs have recently been nominated for an award for The ESPYs on ESPN.
The reigning Super Bowl champions are being recognized once again by the sports world, but this time, they are nominated to the ESPYs for the best team award.
But, they have some competition that has also been nominated for the award.
The nominees for the best team of 2022-2023 are as follows:
- Denver Nuggets, NBA
- Georgia Bulldogs, NCAA Football
- Kansas City Chiefs, NFL
- Las Vegas Aces, WNBA
- Louisiana State Tigers, NCAA Women's Basketball
- Oklahoma Sooners, NCAA Softball
- Vegas Golden Knights, NHL
Those are all some really good teams and some tough competition for the award. The one that stands out is Oklahoma Softball, which is now a dynasty in their sport and went 61-1 in 2023. Georgie capped off one of the most dominant college football runs we have seen, and the Nuggets won their first-ever Championship.
The Chiefs are a great team, but there is a possibility they don't walk away with the hardware on Wednesday, July 12 at 8 p.m. ET.
