The Kansas City Chiefs have officially revealed their Super Bowl LVIII championship rings during their exclusive ceremony at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art on Thursday, June 13.

Players, coaches, and staff members who were with the team in some capacity during their Super Bowl-winning 2023 NFL season received either a ring or pendant at a private ceremony on Thursday night. It's the final moment last season's team will take to celebrate their victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58.

Overall, it’s a pretty unique design and quite different from the Chiefs’ Super Bowl IV, LIV, and LVII rings, which were all also designed by Jostens. Each ring tells its own story and that's the case with the Super Bowl LVIII ring. What makes it different? Let's dive in.

Here's what makes the Chiefs' Super Bowl LVIII championship ring unique:

  • 529 total diamonds and 38 total rubies.
  • 22 diamonds symbolic of the points scored in the second half and overtime to win Super Bowl LVIII.
  • Championship years are featured on flags within the stadium.
  • Detailed iconic fireworks shot of GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
  • 142.2 is a tribute to Chiefs Kingdom, the loudest fans in the world.
  • Each Super Bowl captain received a "c" inscribed on their ring.
  • "Back-to-back" represents the 2022 and 2023 victories.
  • 19 diamonds represent 11 consecutive winning seasons and the Chiefs' eighth consecutive AFC West title.
  • "Overtime 25-22" to represent only the second overtime game in Super Bowl history.
  • "World" has 39 diamonds for the 39 touchdowns scored in the 2023 NFL season.
  • 11 princess-cut rubies represent the 11 regular-season wins.
  • "Champions" has 70 diamond paying tribute to the points scored in the 3 playoff games prior to the Super Bowl.
  • 4 marquise cut diamonds represent the four Super Bowl titles in franchise history.
  • 50 diamonds represent the Chiefs' scoring ability at home where they outscored opponents by 50.
  • 58 diamonds are a nod to Super Bowl 58.
  • 16 custom-cut rubies are symbolic of the 16 outright division championship titles.
  • 19 custom-cut baguette diamonds represent the first team in 19 years to win back-to-back Super Bowls.
  • The reverse side of the ring top includes the team's game-winning play  “Tom & Jerry” drawn out using Coach Reid's handwriting.
  • Las Vegas-inspired Super Bowl LVIII logo as a tribute to the host city.
  • 17 miniature gold leaf confetti commemorating the 17 points scored in the AFC title game.
  • 1-4 Lombardi Trophies Depending on the recipients time with the Chiefs.
  • Championship years the recipient has been with the Chiefs.
  • Commemorative patch honoring Norma Hunt.
  • 28 diamonds symbolic of the defense that held every opponent under 28 points.
  • Final scores of all four playoff games and opponent playoff seeds, a nod to the toughest playoff run in NFL history.
  • Team motto for 2023 season "United."
  • Each player's unique signature.
  • Lamar Hunt patch to honor team found.

“Earning back-to-back Super Bowl championships is an incredibly difficult and rare feat. It helps define legacies for franchises, coaches, players, and is a testament to the commitment and dedication that is required from everyone in the organization,” Chiefs President Mark Donovan said, via press release. “We have long trusted Jostens to help share the stories of our championship seasons through their beautiful ring designs, and this year is no different. This incredible piece of wearable art is a true symbol of the journey that the team took to secure the franchise’s fourth Lombardi Trophy, and we couldn’t be prouder to represent Chiefs Kingdom as champions once again.”
