This offseason, the Kansas City Chiefs had a ton of drama surrounding their offensive line. Really, it was just the two tackle positions, in which they had Orlando Brown Jr. join the Cincinnati Bengals and the Washington Commanders snag Andrew Wylie.

That meant they had two holes to fill – two very important holes.

The Chiefs went and signed Jawaan Taylor, the former right tackle for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and then drafted Wanya Morris, the right tackle out of Oklahoma, who everyone thought would end up being the starting right tackle if the Chiefs were to indeed move Taylor to left tackle.

Then, they signed left tackle Donovan Smith. That threw a wrench in everything and confused a lot of people. So why did they draft Morris? Why did they give Taylor left tackle money to play right tackle? So many questions were asked.

One of the questions that has been asked a lot is how would Taylor and Smith gel on the offensive line. So far in training camp, things haven't been too shabby.

"Yeah, it's going well; Jawaan (Taylor) and Donovan (Smith) are great," offensive guard Joe Thuney said. "They are really hard workers, getting in that playbook, very detail orientated guys (and) work really hard. It's been a great group to be a part of; the coaching staff has done a great job just getting them details and – so yeah, it's been going really well."

The other question was about Morris and how he would fit in with the signing of Smith. So far, there aren't any complaints with him either.

"Yeah, he's doing really well, too," Thuney continued. "(He's) kind of switching around on both sides. He's in his playbook all the time, you know, learning the system, learning the details of each play. He works really hard too and is strong and a really nice guy who's absorbing a lot and doing really well."

The Chiefs took a few flyers this offseason, and in terms of camp, things are going well. Thuney is one of the best in the league at what he does, so he knows when he sees something good on the offensive line.

It's almost like he is ensuring everything is fine.
