One thing we can assume based on Chiefs pre-draft visits

The Kansas City Chiefs have had a lot of pre-draft visits so far. In fact, they have had roughly 45 visits so far. Some of those were combined or pro-day visits, some were local visits, and some were top 30 visits.
Every team does this before the draft to make sure they have their due diligence done. The Chiefs' pre-draft visits have shown that they are interested in a wide receiver, defensive end, and interior defenders. Of course, they have met with other positions too, but those are the positions they have met with the most.
There are a few positions that have had little to no pre-draft visits. The quarterback position, of course, the running back position, of course, and the kicker and punter positions.
Based on the visits they have had, or haven't had, we can assume one big thing.
Last year the Chiefs' special teams were brutal. In fact, they were the worst they have been in quite some time. Everything was bad, really. Field goals were bad, whether it be extra pints or field goals in general, punts weren't great at times. The kick return and punt return were brutal.
But, the reason the Chiefs aren't doing visits with a punter or kicker is that those two guys are All-Pros and the best at their position. But the reason they aren't visiting with any running backs, now that is a different story.
Last year they drafted Isiah Pacheco in the seventh round, and he ended up being the starter for more than half of the season as Clyde Edward-Helaire got hurt.
Them not having any visits with running backs tells me that they are very confident in that room entering in the season. For example, they are confident in the quarterback room and kicker and punter rooms too, and we can assume that because they aren't visiting with players at those positions.
We can assume the same with the running back position.
The running back room is pretty much set. Pacheco and CEH will hold down the main workload, as we still don't really know who will be the starter, but we can assume Pacheco and La'Michael Perine will be the third-string running back.
That's not a bad group, and the Chiefs seem to think so too.
