The Kansas City Chiefs are 3-1. Yes, they should be 4-0 right now, after losing to the Indianapolis Colts, purely by shooting themselves in the foot. Of course, there were other reasons they lost too. Chiefs fans and media will say a large part was because of special teams, and it was.
On Sunday, in Week 5, Patrick Mahomes left one of his old friends out to dry. What does that mean exactly? Well, you can ask Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury that.
Yep, that is right, Mahomes should have warned his old head coach about what happened to the Cardinals on Sunday.
If you were watching the Cardinals-Eagles game, you probably thought the Cardinals' kicker looked familiar. That's because he does. He played in the Chiefs game against the Colts and was the temporary kicker. He was the same guy who missed several field goals for the Chiefs.
It's safe to say, the Chiefs saw the Cardinals' new kicker Matt Ammendola missing the kick, coming, and they should have warned the Cardinals.
Yes, it is all jokes. The Cardinals should have done their own research and watched what happened to the Chiefs, and they would have been able to tell that Ammendola would miss the game-tying kick.
After the game, and yes this isn't really Chiefs related at all, there was some drama in the Cardinals locker room. All of the media rushed to find Ammendola at his locker, as the media usually does.
Offensive lineman and veteran Justin Pugh didn't like that, and in fact, had words for the media that were not safe for work.
No one on the Chiefs did that for Ammendola, and I'm not saying that is a big deal, but it definitely caught my attention. I know Ammendola was not an original part of the team, but how much support did he have in the locker room?
We will never know because now the Chiefs have Matthew Wright who was perfect in his first game as a Chief against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
