The Kansas City Chiefs and Tom Brady had some great battles, in the playoffs and in the regular season. He took a ring from the Chiefs, as he does with a lot of teams, and a lot of fans will likely never forgive him for it.

But, most people will agree that he is the greatest to ever do it. And, if you don't agree with that, you can't argue that he isn't the greatest winner in football history. Earlier this week, Brady retired as we all know, which leaves the question, who does the torch get passed to next?

Most are saying Mahomes, and I think he knows that, but he isn't bothered or worried about it.

"Yeah, I mean, it's, it's not, I don't think any extra responsibility," Mahomes answered. "I mean, I'm just trying to go out there and win football games and win and win championships and this is the biggest game of them all. And so, it's not about being the face of the league or anything like that.

"It's about being the best team that you could possibly be and doing whatever you can to win football games and the other stuff kind of handles itself. And, it's, it's obviously a good part of it. If you're winning super bowls, usually you get a little bit more media and a little, a few more commercials, I guess you would say. But at the end of the day, man, I just want to get in this building, be with my teammates and then go out there and win football games."

The torch was passed to Mahomes long before Brady retired. In fact, when Mahomes won his ring, Super Bowl MVP, and already had an MVP, that's when I'd say he had the torched passed to him.

And, that isn't any shot at Brady, who is the greatest of all time. It's just simply the fact that Mahomes is that good, and he will be for some time. I think everyone knows that too. Even if it does come with more responsibility, which for Mahomes it doesn't, he would have that handled.

This guy could probably retire today and become a Hall of Famer. He has accomplished so many great things in just five years that most quarterbacks don't get to do in their entire careers. The torch has been passed.
