One of the most intriguing moves in Mahomes' repertoire is the behind-the-back pass. While it's a sight that has yet to grace an actual game, it's a move that has become a fixture in practice, OTAs, and training camps. This leaves every fan with a lingering question: Could this be the year we witness this rare feat in a game?

Well, the yearly tradition of seeing the clip in practice just for us to ask that question has happened once again, this time for 2024. This time, the Kansas City Chiefs' official Twitter account was the one teasing it.

They posted a video that showed Mahomes throwing a no-look behind-the-back pass to Carson Steele, an undrafted free-agent running back.

When this momentous event occurs, it will mark the first time in the game's history that a behind-the-back pass has been executed during a live game. If we are going to see it this year, my guess is it will be in a preseason game.

We have seen the Chiefs do things that other teams don't do, like the snow globe play against the Las Vegas Raiders. So, if any team or player will do it, it's the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes.
