The Kansas City Chiefs are dealing with something that they probably never thought they would come time for the AFC Championship. Their superstar quarterback, the eventual MVP of the league, Patrick Mahomes is hurt.
During their game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Mahomes was sacked, and it didn't look good at all. He had a defender land on his ankle and you could just tell it hurt pretty badly.
Then, he was diagnosed with a high ankle sprain, so everyone thought he could potentially miss the game.
On Wednesday we didn't see him in a boot at the podium, and he in fact told the media that he would be good to go for Sunday.
Then we saw the practice video of him running.
Folks, it appears that he is fine, and will likely play on Sunday. But, that doesn't mean he will play the whole game. Something could tweak his ankle and make it hurt even more.
But if there is one thing we do know, it's that this is one of the toughest guys in the league.
