Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes grew up in MLB clubhouses.

When he was 4-5 years old, he had the opportunity to watch and meet New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter ahead of games against the New York Mets where Pat Mahomes Sr. played. Watching these giants of the game of baseball up close and personal helped form Mahomes' work ethic and desire to become a great athlete.

Now, Mahomes is the one in the spotlight with Jeter working for FOX Sports as an analyst. The two were reunited for a chat set to be featured before Kansas City's game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Chiefs shared some photos from their interview on their social media channels:

The NFL even shared a little teaser of the chat between the two legends of their respective sports. Of course, Mahomes' unique sidearm release was a topic of discussion, given the fact that it looks like a shortstop throwing to first base. He admits that he's imitating those types of baseball throws that he saw while growing up.

It's just another reminder that football is the job for No. 15, but baseball will always have a big part in his life.
