The Kansas City Chiefs have made a pair of practice squad elevations ahead of the Week 18 regular-season finale against the Las Vegas Raiders.

According to the NFL’s personnel notice on Saturday, the Chiefs have elevated WRs Jason Brownlee and Jimmy Holiday from the practice squad. This is the second consecutive week that the Chiefs have elevated Brownlee from the practice squad. He was on the 53-man roster to start the 2025 NFL season while WR Rashee Rice was on the reserve/suspended list.

Holiday likely to be used on special teams, but could be a sneaky-good player for QB Chris Oladokun to have at wide receiver as well.  He had a 50-yard reception in the Week 3 preseason game against the Chicago Bears, along with a big special teams tackle in that game on kickoff coverage. Oladokun and Holiday likely developed some chemistry on the scout team offense this season.

These two moves tip off some big personnel decisions in the final game of the NFL’s regular season.

Chiefs second-year WR Xavier Worthy won’t play in the regular-season finale vs. the Raiders

When asked about Xavier Worthy’s game status for Week 18 on Friday, Chiefs HC Andy Reid gave his patented, “We’ll see.” He was then listed as doubtful to play due to an illness. The decision to elevate, not one, but two receivers from the practice squad all but confirms that Worthy will not play in the regular-season finale in Las Vegas. That means his sophomore NFL season concludes, recording 42 receptions for 532 yards and one touchdown. It was hardly the breakout campaign that fans had hoped for with Worthy after his rookie season.

Chiefs OT Jaylon Moore will be available to play in the regular-season finale

The Chiefs have skated by with Esa Pole at left tackle and Chu Godrick at right tackle for the past several weeks. This is the first week where they aren’t elevating OT Matt Waletzko from the practice squad to play the swing tackle role. That signals that OT Jaylon Moore, who was a limited participant in practice all week, will at the very least be available to play in the regular-season finale. The Chiefs only have Pole, Godrick, and Moore at offensive tackle on the 53-man roster. Moore hasn’t played since Week 15’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers due to a knee injury.
