The Kansas City Chiefs made a trio of roster moves on the practice squad on Thursday.

According to the league's personnel notice, the Chiefs have added former Carolina Panthers CB Keith Taylor and former Denver Broncos WR Montrell Washington to the practice squad. Both were reported as additions on Wednesday, but they hadn't yet been in town to receive physicals and put the pen to paper.

In a corresponding move, the Chiefs released undrafted free agent CB Reese Taylor. He originally signed with the team out of Purdue after the 2023 NFL draft.

Here's what the Chiefs' updated practice squad looks like:

  1. S Deon Bush
  2. DT Danny Shelton
  3. C Austin Reiter
  4. OT Jason "Chu" Godrick
  5. TE Matt Bushman
  6. RB Deneric Prince
  7. WR Cornell Powell
  8. RB La'Mical Perine
  9. LB Cole Christiansen
  10. CB Ekow Boye-Doe
  11. WR Montrell Washington
  12. QB Chris Oladokun
  13. CB Keith Taylor
  14. DT Chris Williams
  15. DT Matt Dickerson
  16. OL Darian Kinnard
  17. DE Truman Jones

Remember, the Chiefs have a practice squad exemption for Jason Godrick via the NFL's International Player Pathway program.

Montrell Washington at a glance:

A fifth-round draft pick out of Samford by the Broncos in 2022, Washington recorded 148 receptions for 1,883 yards with 17 touchdowns, plus 101 carries for 520 yards and eight rushing touchdowns in 49 games played in college. He appeared in 15 games for the Broncos last season, mostly contributing on special teams with 32 punts returned for 271 yards and 18 kicks returned for 340 yards. Listed at 5-foot-8 and 175 pounds, Washington figures in as depth on special teams and as a gadget receiver.

Keith Taylor at a glance:

A former fifth-round draft pick out of Washington by the Panthers in 2021, Taylor played in 34 games with five starts over the past two seasons. The 6-foot-2 and 198-pound corner made 67 total tackles, one tackle for loss, six passes defended, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries in that span. He figures to be a special teams contributor and valuable depth at the cornerback position. He reunites with former Huskies teammate Trent McDuffie in Kansas City.
