Well, that didn't take long.
Patrick Mahomes is already up to his old tricks, and the Kansas City Chiefs just started OTAs.
On Thursday, Fox4KC's Harold R. Kuntz posted a video, showing Mahomes executing a behind-the-back pass without hesitation.
Mahomes is known for this impressive move that seems to always work out for him in key moments.
And him having fun at practice is what this time of year is all about.
The Chiefs are coming off a devastating loss to the Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, where Philadelphia dominated, winning 40-22. However, Mahomes is proving that it is all in the past, and instead focusing on the 2025 season.
Plus, he has one of his top targets back in Travis Kelce.
""If it's the last ride, you'd never know," Mahomes told reporters after practice. "The way he's working. . . it doesn't seem like a guy who is tired of the job."
And the quarterback is also happy about how the rest of the receivers are looking.
"We're fast. . . We've got guys who can roll," he explained. "Coach Reid has challenged me this offseason to push the ball down the field and let guys make plays."
Even rookie receiver Jalen Royals got out to a quick start, making the play of the day with a leaping, strong grab in the back of the end zone during 7-on-7," per Matt McMullen.
Things are looking really good for the Chiefs already.
