The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has been trying some crazy things at camp the last few years. In 2023, he could finally do the one thing he has been teasing for so long now.

Training camp is a place to work, get better, and get ready for the upcoming season. Andy Reid is known for having one of the hardest training camps in the league. However, don't let that fool you. The Chiefs still like to have a little fun.

On Friday, the Chiefs had around 8,000 fans show up for camp. If fans are there, you have to put on a show, and that's what Mahomes and the Chiefs consistently do.

It started a few years ago when Mahomes was doing behind-the-back passes in camp. Everyone thought it was inane because Mahomes is known for doing crazy passes, such as the no-look pass.

At camp on Friday, he started practicing the behind-the-back-passes in front of the fans.

At this point, we can't do anything but assume that it will happen in 2023.

2022 featured some new but crazy passes that actually happened in the game. The first major one was the pass against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he actually flicked it overhand like he was shooting a basketball, and it landed right in Clyde Edwards-Helaire's hands.

Of course, against the Denver Broncos, Mahomes had the side arm toss to Jerick McKinnon on the sideline that ended up going for a huge play.

The Chiefs do some pretty crazy things. But Mahomes, he does things that aren't normal. Hopefully, in 2023, we will see the behind-the-back pass finally happen, in the right circumstances, of course.
