The Kansas City Chiefs starting running back may have just made a promise he can't keep.

The Chiefs have a few injuries they are dealing with during training camp that we hope get solved and fixed before we get deep into the 2023 season. On Tuesday, Andy Reid announced the team would be putting Tershawn Wharton on the Physically Unable to Perform list, or the PUP list.

We also know about starting running back Isiah Pacheco dealing with a few different things. Pacheco's broken hand and torn labrum are his main priorities. However, According to him, there is nothing to worry about.

"I feel great right now. It's just a process that takes time. I'm continuing to listen to the staff and trust myself."

Pacheco was then asked if he would be ready to go for Week 1.

"Absolutely."

Pacheco may not be able to keep his word on that one. Injuries happen, and so do setbacks. He could easily be doing a workout or even stretching, and something happens. Pacheco is one to keep an eye on. Right now, he is just doing individual stuff and has a vest on that signifies do not touch.
