The Kansas City Chiefs did something on Tuesday that we all kind of saw coming.

Frank Clark, the third-best pass rusher in postseason history when it comes to sacks, is no longer a Kansas City Chiefs player. For now, that is.

The Chiefs Twitter account announced on Tuesday that he was going to be released.

Yeah, it may not feel the best if you are a Chiefs fan because of all of the memories he and the team have shared. But, the move was definitely best for the team, as it saves the Chiefs roughly $21 million in cap space, per Spotrac.

Clark finished with 23.5 sacks as a Chief, and 14 playoff sacks, with two Super Bowl rings to go along with it.

Now I think we can expect to see the Chiefs go after some edge rushers in the draft, and maybe in free agency.
