The Kansas City Chiefs are much more diverse now than they used to be regarding the offensive side of things. They still have one of the best offenses we have ever seen in the sport's history, but there are easily some differences.

The biggest difference is by far the fact that they can kill you through the air, as they always have, but also now on the ground. That hasn't always been the case with Patrick Mahomes-led teams.

However, this year is different, as all three running backs on Sunday accounted for four touchdowns. The rushing game is different, and so is the utilization of the running backs within the offense. The Chiefs are much more diverse, and their opponent also knows that.

"They’re really good in the interior three; the tackles are experienced and athletic, but like I said, it’s just a really good group. They’re running the ball a heck of a lot better than they have in the past. Back in 2019, it was ‘God, I hope you run the ball,’ but now though, they can put 300 (yards) on you running the ball if they want to," Jets head coach Robert Saleh said on Wednesday.

"They can do it both ways, so a super, super talented group. The o-line, especially their center, he’s extremely talented, but just overall, all the way down, there’s definitely not a weakness in the offense."

Saleh mentioned 2019, and he was right, too. 2019, of all the years Mahomes has been quarterback, was the worst year in terms of league-wide rushing ranking and rushing yards per game. That year, they were 22nd in rushing across the league, with 101 rushing yards per game.

Now, they are 10th, with 116 rushing yards per game. The last game showed that it can be one of their strengths. Obviously, we are three games sin, and something could happen that completely takes that part of their offense away, but things are looking good so far.

The New York Jets are known as a team with a really, really good defense in 223. However, their run defense is suspect. They allow 129 rush yards per game, which is 23rd in the league. Last season, they allowed 121 yards per game, which was 17th in the league.

While they have a good defense, they have never been known as a strong run defense. Sunday night, we could see the Jets struggle in that area, as we know the Chiefs love to expose their opponent's weakness.
