The Kansas City Chiefs just released more good news about them that should continue to make fans happy.

This offseason has been crazy when it comes to rumors, and not just for the Chiefs, even though they have seen their fair share as well. The most notable rumor in the mill has been where Pro Bowl receiver DeAndre Hopkins will land. The Chiefs have been one of the teams in the discussion, but so have a couple of other teams.

The Chiefs were a heavy favorite, and then they weren't. In fact, most believed the Chiefs were completely out of it. However, one ESPN analyst thinks they are still interested.

"The Chiefs have kept in contact," Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reported recently, "and they have, certainly, some interest."

The Chief's biggest problem is cap space. As things currently stand, they wouldn't have enough pace to get Hopkins to Kansas City. So, that's only another reason they should give Chris Jones the extension he wants.

Giving Jones an extension frees up some more money on the books. While the Chiefs don't need Hopkins, getting him will only add another layer to the league's best offense. I'm sure that would put fear in the rest of the NFL's hearts.
