It's finally Super Bowl Sunday. All eyes will be on the Kansas City Chiefs versus the Philadelphia Eagles on the big stage.
And that's where one Chiefs superstar thrives: in the biggest moments.
No, not talking about Patrick Mahomes — who does rise to the occasion time and time again in his own right. But Chris Jones — who has been on an absolute tear this postseason — is the player worth watching in State Farm Stadium.
Especially since Jones wants the defense to send a message during the Super Bowl. A message that they aren't to be messed with.
"Make sure they remember who we are," Jones said. "We get overlooked a lot because of how dynamic our QB and our offense are. Make sure they know that the Chiefs' defense played a huge part in the success of this team."
Chiefs peaking at right time

Additionally, Jones thinks that the Kansas City Chiefs are playing their best football of the season heading into the Super Bowl. Specifically on the defensive side of the ball. Which is very exciting news for the AFC Champions.
Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles pose a big threat to the Chiefs' defense. Yet, Jones believes that his unit will be up for the challenge in a big way under the bright lights.
"We've been honed in," Jones said about the Chiefs. "(We have) faced a lot of good quarterbacks. We're peaking at the right time."
Chris Jones, who was an All-Pro selection this season and received a first-place vote in Defensive Player of the Year voting, is one of the dominant players in football. He has proven over and over again that he can take over a game on the defensive line.
Look no further than the Chiefs' Super Bowl win over the San Francisco 49ers. Jones was arguably the biggest difference in Kansas City hoisting the Lombardi that year. A repeat of that performance would go a long way in the Chiefs adding to their trophy case.
A motivated Chris Jones is a scary proposition for the rest of the NFL.
