Mayor Quinton Lucas, KCMO Police Chief Stacey, and KCFD Interim Fire Chief Ross Grundyson provided a third update around 10:45 a.m. CT on the mass shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl LVIII rally that took place on Wednesday.

Mayor Quinton Lucas: Our condolences continue to go out to all who have been impacted, including the decedent.
Mayor Quinton Lucas: Please call 988 to be connected with mental health resources. Victim advocacy services will be available following this crisis.
Chief Stacey Graves: I want to thank the people who acted bravely on Wednesday alongside law enforcement – citizens, KCFD – your selfless acts did not go unnoticed.
Chief Stacey Graves: The investigation into the mass shooting has shown no signs of connections to terrorism or homegrown extremism.
Chief Stacey Graves: "This appeared to be a dispute between several people that ended in gunfire."
Chief Stacey Graves: 23 total victims. One victim, Elizabeth Galvan, 43 years old, died.
Chief Stacey Graves: 22 victims range between 8 years old and 47 years old.
Chief Stacey Graves: At least half of the victims are under the age of 16.
Chief Stacey Graves: 2 detained subjects in connection to the shooting are juveniles.
Chief Stacey Graves: We are working to determine the involvement of others.
Chief Stacey Graves: We have recovered several weapons.
Fire Chief Ross Grundyson: 22 total victims treated, one fatality, eight critical, who were all transported off the scene within 10 minutes of contact, seven serious injuries, and six with minor injuries.
Fire Chief Ross Grundyson: KCFD had a plan in place and was prepared for this shooting. Eight KCFD and medical personnel were assisting in the immediate area of the shooting. Some were within 40 feet of where the shooting took place. They did not run for cover, but they stayed to treat victims as additional units provided support.
Chief Stacey Graves: The suspects being held have not been charged yet, but they do intend to press charges. They have 24 hours to file charges or release suspects.
Chief Stacey Graves: What is most important is to make sure everything in this case is presented for successful prosecution.
Chief Stacey Graves: Detectives and Jackson County Prosecutors are working together in furtherance of the investigation.
Chief Stacey Graves: The relationship between the subjects involved is still being investigated.
Chief Stacey Graves: One shooting location on the west side of Union Station. The shooting occurred at approximately 1:50 p.m. CT.
Chief Stacey Graves: Another shooting around 27th and Gillam – right now there is no information suggesting the two shootings are related.
Mayor Quinton Lucas: St. Patrick's Day parade will go on as scheduled, as will other parades. This is not the first shooting at a parade or country. We've had parades before, just last year even, that haven't had this type of incident. This isn't Kansas City. Gun violence challenges surround large events, but we'll continue to have them in Kansas City.
