The trash talk between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Kansas City Chiefs might get taken to a new level this season thanks to Taylor Swift.

Talk about sentences you never thought you'd write.

The new romance between Swift and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has captivated the entire nation over the last few days.

While Kelce is enjoying the attention from his relationship (or whatever it currently is) with Swift, he still has 14 games left in the regular season that he has to be ready for. And one of those games, on New Year's Eve, is against the Bengals.

That's expected to be an intense matchup — especially after all of the trash talk between the two teams last season (Kelce was front and center when it came to the trash talk after the Chiefs beat the Bengals).

There will inevitably be trash talk flying back and forth between both sides later this season (though it might be dialed back a bit since Eli Apple no longer plays for the Bengals). And Swift could factor into that trash talk.

After all, it was just a few months ago that Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow revealed that he's not a fan of Taylor Swift's music.

"You know, I have a lot of respect for what Taylor Swift has done with her career," said Burrow ahead of Swift's tour stop in Cincinnati this summer. "I can't say that I'm listening to too much Taylor Swift on the speakers or the headphones. I know a lot of people that are, but that's just not me."

"I'm kind of all over the place," said Burrow of his taste in music. "I listen to some indie, I'll listen to some hip hop, some pop. I listen to just about anything but country. I'm not a country guy."

It's been a while since Swift's been labeled as "country" — she's a full-blown pop superstar at this point — so maybe Burrow should give her songs another shot.

Either way, Kelce, if he and Swift are still an item by late December, might use Burrow's "dislike" of Swift's music as motivation on New Year's Eve when the Chiefs take on the Bengals in what will likely be a pivotal matchup with playoff implications.

Hey, whatever it takes to win, right? Michael Jordan always found the smallest things to use as motivation and it clearly worked for him (and it worked for Kelce and Kansas City in the playoffs). Why not use Burrow's "slight" against Swift, as mild as it may be, as some fun bulletin board material for the Chiefs?
