The Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end finally got someone on his side in the GOAT tight end debate that we all seem to keep having. Sure, to Chiefs fans Travis Kelce is the greatest tight end of all time.

To other fans, especially New England Patriots fans, it's Rob Gronkowski, which is fair. Everyone has their own opinion, and no one is really wrong because you can't really decipher what makes one the greatest.

But, We all have seen what Kelce has done over the last decade up close, and it's something that is beautiful to watch. He has done things that no tight end has ever done. In fact, another tight end who used to be in that same discussion admitted that Kelce is indeed the greatest to ever do it.

“The thing that I love most about him [Travis Kelce], you look at the regular season numbers and he is better in the postseason than he is in the regular season,” Shannon Sharpe explained on the New Heights Podcast with both Kelce brothers. “What we call him is a big game. The bigger the moment, the bigger he plays.

“Who… [Do] you think Patrick [Mahomes is] going to throw the ball to? He [is] going to throw it to him. They know that. 80,000 people know that Patrick Mahomes knows that, he knows he’s throwing the ball and the defense knows he’s going to throw the ball. And somehow he still finds a way to come down with the football.”

The Chiefs have been lucky enough to have two guys be considered in that conversation with both Kelce and Tony Gonzales. Shannon Sharpe played against the Chiefs during the times when the two were in an actual rivalry in the 90s. He had actual hatred for the Chiefs.

So, for him to say a Chiefs' player is better than he ever was is not biased or anything like that. And he makes great points too. The Chiefs and their fans would probably agree with everything he said.
