The NFL's legal tampering period is officially upon us.
On Monday, March 10 at noon ET, it's open season in the NFL for all players who have not re-signed with their current teams. Their agents will be able to negotiate with the Kansas City Chiefs and 31 other teams freely during what is often referred to as the legal tampering period. This is when some of the biggest free-agent deals in the NFL get done every year.
Some Kansas City players have received contract extensions and tenders to avoid the legal tampering period, while others will be given a chance to test the market. The lack of re-signing at the onset of the legal negotiating window means that many have likely played their last snap for the team and will be scooped up by other teams in free agency.
We know that the Chiefs don't have the means to keep everybody around and will have to make tough decisions. That's just the reality of the salary cap era and the NFL.

Chiefs 2025 free agents: 23
These players will be free to sign with any team at the start of the 2025 NFL free agency period on Wednesday, March 12 (and hence the legal tampering period on Monday, March 10). The Chiefs have already re-signed several of their own players, such as Hollywood Brown and Nick Bolton, but will they keep any others?
