The Kansas City Chiefs completed their second practice session ahead of Week 16's game against the Houston Texans.

For the second consecutive day, Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes was listed as a full participant in practice. It sends the signal that Mahomes will, in fact, play against the Texans in Week 16 despite suffering a "mild" high ankle sprain in Week 15's game against the Cleveland Browns. 

Obviously, there's one more practice before the game, so we'll have to see how his ankle responds to that final practice. However, short of a setback, everyone should prepare to see Mahomes start on Saturday. Mahomes certainly wouldn't be getting full practice repetitions if the team were planning to start backup QB Carson Wentz in Week 16.

  • The Texans added G Nick Broeker to the injury report with a hand injury. Broeker is a backup interior offensive lineman. 
  • All of the top non-participants from Tuesday remained non-participants on Wednesday.
