Latest development on Kansas City Chiefs’ Week 16 injury report for Tennesse Titans isn’t the good news it’ll be made out to be
Trent McDuffie is back to being limited in practice and that should concern Kansas City Chiefs fans.
The Kansas City Chiefs and Tennessee Titans have released their second injury reports of the week ahead of Week 16’s game at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee.
As we inch closer to the game, the Chiefs have had a few new developments on the injury report. Generally speaking, the team is still quite beat up, with 17 players listed with some injury or ailment. The Titans, on the other hand, had two injured players whose practice status was upgraded from the first injury report of the week to Thursday’s report.
Here’s a quick breakdown of the second injury reports for each team in Week 16.

| DT Chris Jones | Hamstring | LP/LP |
| DT Derrick Nnadi | Illness | –/DNP |
Observations
- Trent McDuffie being upgraded to limited isn’t the good news it’ll be made out to be. It’s great that he’s getting healthier after the knee injury. The coaching staff seems gung-ho on playing guys who give them a chance to win, but playing McDuffie in any of these final three games would be a mistake. He’s perhaps the lone asset with trade value this team currently has, and subjecting him to further injury risk is malpractice, whether you plan to keep him around or not.
- Derrick Nnadi was added to the injury report with an illness, making the likelihood that Zacch Pickens gets some snaps in Week 16 even higher. Nnadi’s non-participation kept the team at six players who did not participate in practice.
Titans’ Thursday injury report for Week 16
| Player | Injury | Weds./Thurs./Fri. |
|---|---|---|
| CB Jalyn Armour-Davis | Achilles | LP/LP |
| OLB Ali Gaye | Knee | LP/LP |
| LB Cedric Gray | Concussion | DNP/DNP |
| TE Gunnar Helm | Toe | LP/LP |
| S Amani Hooker | Illness | DNP/DNP |
| WR Van Jefferson | Back | DNP/LP |
| T Dan Moore Jr. | Neck | FP/FP |
| TE Chig Okonkwo | NIR – Rest | LP/FP |
| OLB Olu Oladejo | Fibula | LP/LP |
| WR Bryce Oliver | Knee | LP/LP |
| DT Jeffery Simmons | NIR- Rest | LP/FP |
| OG Kevin Zeitler | Groin | DNP/LP |
Observations
- Titans starting right guard Kevin Zeitler and starting WR Van Jefferson both returned to practice in a limited capacity on Thursday.
- The two players given rest days on Wednesday were back at practice in full on Thursday.
- The concern for Tennessee is still the defensive secondary, with Amani Hooker still absent from practice. They recently placed three players in the safety room on injured reserve, leaving them pretty depleted there.
