One of the bigger pending free agents for the Kansas City Chiefs went under the knife on Tuesday.
Wide receiver Mecole Hardman had successful surgery on his groin in Philadelphia which was a lingering issue from the 2022 season.
Hardman missed the final nine games of the season and the Chiefs' first playoff game against the Jacksonville Jaguars due to the aliment. Hardman caught two passes in the AFC Championship Game against the Cincinnati Bengals, but unfortunately, he aggravated the injury and didn't play in the Chiefs' Super Bowl win against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Despite this setback, Hardman had four touchdowns in the eight games he played in during the regular season, tied for the second-most in his career.
