Final predictions for Chiefs vs Raiders: Patrick Mahomes gets his three best receivers all at once for the first time ever

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are looking to continue their hot streak against the Raiders.

The Kansas City Chiefs have used the last three weeks to prove to everyone that they are still a dominant offensive team, but one that took a year or so off on that side of the ball. This is the best their offense has looked since 2022, and yet, they are still 3-3. However, after a win over the Detroit Lions, a blowout one at that, Chiefs Kingdom is very confident in how this week will go.

As for the Las Vegas Raiders, this season was supposed to be different than last season, as former Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll has taken over the new regime. Sure, you would assume that team would be better than the four-win team they had last season, but so far it’s looked pretty much the same.

Chiefs vs. Raiders all-time stats

  • The Kansas City Chiefs lead the all-time series against the Las Vegas Raiders (including postseason games) with a record of 75-55-2.
  • Chiefs’ largest margin of victory over the Raiders: 48-9 in 2021
  • Raiders’ largest margin of victory over the Chiefs: 41-6 in 1968
  • Chiefs’ most points scored vs. the Raiders: 56 in 2013
  • Raiders’ most scored points vs. the Chiefs: 49 in 2000

Vegas has a good defense that tends to get hurt by its extremely poor offense. The Chiefs have struggled on defense, but showed up last week against maybe the best team in football. As we all know, though, Vegas gets up and plays its hardest in Kansas City.

So how is this one going to go?

Chiefs vs. Raiders final score predictions for Week 7

Chiefs 31, Raiders 14

The Raiders head into Arrowhead hoping to pull off an upset, but it’s a tall task against Patrick Mahomes and a reloaded Chiefs offense. Running back Ashton Jeanty has been a bright spot for Las Vegas in recent weeks, showing burst and toughness that give the Raiders some offensive life. On defense, Maxx Crosby should be able to cause problems off the edge with Kansas City tackle Josh Simmons sidelined, potentially keeping Mahomes uncomfortable early. However, once the Chiefs settle in – especially with Rashee Rice returning from suspension to join Travis Kelce and the rest of Mahomes’ arsenal – it’s hard to see the Raiders keeping pace. Kansas City’s balance and firepower ultimately prove too much, as the Chiefs roll to a 31–14 victory. – Brentley Weissman, A to Z Sports Los Angeles Chargers

Chiefs 41, Raiders 23

Both teams have momentum on their side heading into this game with Kansas City getting a big win over a banged up Detroit Lions squad in Week 6, while the Raiders got a win over the rudderless Tennessee Titans in Week 7. I look at the biggest mismatch in this game as the Chiefs’ offense facing off against a Las Vegas defense that has played predominantly zone coverage. Patrick Mahomes is completing 74% of his passes against zone coverage looks this year and that’s before Rashee Rice has played a single down. The Raiders’ best chances in this one are Maxx Crosby taking over and forcing mistakes on defense, combined with big days from Michael Mayer and Ashton Jeanty on offense. Otherwise it could be a long day for Las Vegas. Chiefs win 41-23. – Charles Goldman, A to Z Sports Kansas City

Chiefs, 38, Raiders 13

The Raiders could be without both Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers this week against the Chiefs. With those guys, the offense is bad; without them, the offense could look like the worst unit in the entire league. As for the defensive side of the ball for them, the defensive line is playing out of their mind, while the secondary has held together good enough. But the Chiefs have the hottest offense in the league over the last three weeks. Give me the Chiefs, 38-13. – Justin Churchill, A to Z Sports Las Vegas

Chiefs 34, Raiders 27

Patrick Mahomes is dominant against the Las Vegas Raiders, throwing for 33 passing touchdowns and only five interceptions, which happens to be the best TD to interception ratio by a QB against any team since 1950, according to CBS Sports. The Chiefs are double-digit favorites heading into the matchup, which is funny because a couple of weeks ago, everyone was saying their season was dead. The Chiefs are coming off a win against the Lions, where Mahomes threw for three touchdowns, and now he’s getting one of his favorite weapons back in Rashee Rice. The Raiders are no slouch, and they’ll test the Chiefs’ run defense early and often with rookie sensation Ashton Jeanty having a career day on the ground. Bowers’ status is up in the air after not practicing with a knee injury, potentially having quarterback Geno Smith down one of the most important weapons on offense. It’ll be much closer than Las Vegas thinks, but ultimately, Kansas City walks away with the victory. – Adam Zientek, A to Z Sports Denver

Chiefs 31, Raiders 13

After three straight games of scoring at least four touchdowns, it’s safe to say that the Chiefs’ offense is back to elite form. This week it gets its No.1 wide receiver back in Rashee Rice, which is a terrifying thought for the rest of the NFL. While Las Vegas’ defense hasn’t been as bad as I thought it would be this season, it’s not a particularly good unit. The Raiders’ offense has continually put the defense in bad situations due to turnovers, specifically thanks to quarterback Geno Smith, who leads the league with 10 interceptions. Combine that with Las Vegas potentially being down tight end Brock Bowers and WR Jakobi Meyers, I expect Kansas City to dominate on defense and stay hot offensively. – Nick Roesch, A to Z Sports Kansas City
