The Kansas City Chiefs are likely returning Frank Clark, assuming his physical goes right, just after trading for Mecole Hardman. In a way, the Chiefs are getting the gang back together.

Clark didn't resign with the Chiefs this summer because they couldn't offer him that much money. It was a mutual decision that the two sides move on, and maybe later down the road, the Chiefs would clear up cap space and bring him back. But Clark didn't wait around.

The Denver Broncos ended up offering him a good chunk of change, $5.4 million, to be exact, for one year. However, he didn't even end up paying out the contract. Instead, they ended up paying the Broncos so he could be released. He wanted no part of whatever they had going on.

Clark even had the now iconic "it's not a rivalry" quote on his first day as a member of the Broncos. Somehow, we still always knew he would end up right back in red and gold.

Now, though, after he announced he would be in Kansas City to sign some gear for a fan, he tweeted something out that makes it seem he is throwing shots at Denver, the Broncos, that is.

Usually, when a player spends some time with a team and then leaves, they sometimes shout out the fans, the team, and all those things. Not Frank Clark. This is what he tweeted:

"Denver was solid, I love horses and mountains."

Nothing about anything else. And we know Clark takes the Chiefs' rivalries to another level. He can be petty.

Even if some would say this isn't him taking a shot, it feels good to have the champ back.
