The Kansas City Chiefs fan base can officially put one of the bigger rumors of the offseason to rest now for at least a year.

There was a rumor going around that Eric Bieniemy, the former Chiefs offensive coordinator who won two Super Bowls with the Chiefs, would be back with the Chiefs in some capacity.

The rumor spurted when the Chiefs had Bieniemy visit with them during preparation for the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers not too long ago. But, it appears he was indeed just visiting, nothing more.

On Saturday, some news hit the football world that made it clear he wouldn't be joining the staff this upcoming year and maybe even for two years.

According to NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN, the former Chiefs and Washington Commanders OC are finalizing a deal to be the next UCLA offensive coordinator for the next two years.

If all goes well, and likely really well, next season, we could see him back in the NFL. However, for now, those conversations of him on the Chiefs should be put to bed.
