The Kansas City Chiefs are officially back in action this week, appearing in their second preseason game of the year for a late-night showdown against an NFC West opponent.

Get your favorite caffeinated drink ready because the Chiefs are heading to Seattle, Washington, to face the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field in preseason Week 2 on Friday, Aug. 15, at 10:00 p.m. ET. Chiefs HC Andy Reid has already ruled out three injured players and indicated that several starters are unlikely to play in this matchup, including star QB Patrick Mahomes and TE Travis Kelce. This is a departure from the norm for Kansas City, but it seems to be the plan to give younger players more opportunities to impress.

Here’s everything you need to know to be able to watch the game on Friday.

How to watch, listen to, and stream the Chiefs’ preseason Week 2 game against the Seahawks

Unlike last week’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, this week’s game against the Seattle Seahawks will be carried live nationally on NFL Network.

This game (along with the preseason finale at Arrowhead) will be broadcast by the team’s local television partners, KMCI-TV & KSHB-TV, for those in the local market. They also have television partners in St. Louis (KMOV, MMOV), Des Moines (KDSM), Tulsa (KJRH, KTPX), Wichita (KWCH), Arkansas (KNWA, KFTA), Columbia (KMIZ, KQFX), Joplin (KODE), St. Joseph (KQTV), Omaha (KMTV), Springfield (KOZL), & Topeka (WIBW, EIBW). Plus, the team also has broadcast partners in Alaska (KTTU, KYES, KAUU, KATH, KYEX), Hawaii (KGMB, KFVE), Mexico (FOX Sports Mexico), and Germany (DAZN NFL Gamepass).

The league’s streaming service, NFL+, will also carry the game live. For those who are on the move and unable to watch the game, you can listen to a live radio broadcast locally at KFNZ (96.5 FM) and WDAF (106.5 FM) or on SiriusXM channel 88.

An injured player could return, and two new players to watch for in the Chiefs’ preseason Week 2 game vs. the Seahawks

Chiefs fans could get their first look at CB Kristian Fulton in this game. Fulton missed the majority of training camp on the PUP list, recovering from a knee injury. He’s participated in the final three practice sessions, working with first-team and second-team defense. Chiefs DB coach Dave Merritt spoke about Fulton needing to get his cardio in to catch up to the rest of the team. What better way to do that than to participate in the upcoming preseason game against the Seahawks?

The Chiefs also have two new players to watch this week after S Deon Bush (Achilles) and DE Janarius Robinson (tpe/foot) were placed on injured reserve following preseason Week 1. The team signed DE Nate Matlack, a former UDFA tryout from the team’s rookie minicamp in May. They also added former Washington Commanders RB Michael Wiley, who could get some work with RBs Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt likely sitting out of this matchup.
