Travis Kelce has to decide this offseason whether he feels he can play another season in the NFL or if it's time to call it quits.
And nobody knows more about making that decision than his brother, Jason Kelce.
Travis opened up about this decision during the latest episode of New Heights, and Jason followed it up providing an inside look into what lies ahead for his brother.
“It sucks where you get to this point in the career that it becomes harder and harder to do it. And I think there’s a physicality that becomes more difficult to manage," Jason explained. "There’s a mental approach that becomes more difficult to manage because it’s stacked on top of the physical discomfort and things that are happening.
“To do it right, you have to be committed and you have to put the time in. You have to be all in, and it’s difficult to sign up for that because you know what it takes."
Travis has had a career like no other. And as he said, he's "played more football than anybody" due to all the AFC Championship games and Super Bowls he's played in.
"You’ve been here three years in a row, you’ve been to this game multiple times, and had an amazing amount of success," Jason added. "And it’s frustrating when you’re getting older in your career and you know that it’s becoming harder and harder to do, and more and more grueling to go through.
"So take your time. Obviously get away from everything for a little while.”
That's exactly what Travis plans to do.
However, the Kelce brothers could reunite on the field if Travis calls it quits. Specifically, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid thinks that he shouldn't stray too far away from football.
"Travis would be a heck of a football coach," Reid said on The Herd with Colin Cowherd.
And it seems Travis might already have someone who's willing to join his coaching staff.
"If he needs an Oline coach I’m available…," Jason Kelce posted on X, formerly known as Twitter in response to Reid's comment.
So, we'll have to wait and see what happens.
