Kansas City Chiefs, Christiansen

On Thursday, September 1st, the Kansas City Chiefs added a new linebacker to their practice squad.

Cole Christiansen, a third-year linebacker, played for the Chiefs' division rivals the Los Angeles Chargers, who the Chiefs play in Week 2.

Christiansen was an undrafted linebacker from Army. He played in three games for the Chargers last season, and four the year before. In those games, he accumulated three total tackles.

The 25-year-old linebacker will be joining the practice squad along with linebackers Jack Cochrane and Elijah Lee.

Christiansen may not play for the Chiefs this season, but if he does, he knows how to play against starting caliber competition.

He played against Baltimore, Minnesota, and Denver last season.

The Chiefs are trying to find young, developmental talent at certain positions to add to their practice squad. My belief with this move is that they think they may be able to develop him into something. Why else would they make the move?
