Kansas City Chiefs, Treylon Burks

When thinking about the Kansas City Chiefs and their needs this offseason, it is hard to ignore the fact that the Chiefs need some help in the receiving department.

The Chiefs struggled this year when Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce were dealing with tough defense. Yes, Mecole Hardman played great at times. However, they need another receiver to take more pressure off of the two main guys.

For those of you that don't know who Treylon Burks is, when you youtube search the name, any viewer will be in for a treat. The Arkansas native and former Razorback player has had a sensational few years in Fayetteville.

Burks has almost set himself apart from the rest of the competition in this year's draft. There is only one thing holding him back, that teams have been wary of.

Treylon Burks at Arkansas

The former Arkansas Junior had quite the career as a Razorback. When looking at Treylon Burks, you can see he has all the tools to be great, and he likely will.

At 6'3", 225 pounds, Burks is a force to be reckoned with. With that combination of size, strength, and speed, Burks can be unstoppable at the pro level.

At the combine, Burks ran a 4.5 40-yard dash, but his tape tells a different story. There were a few plays this last year where that was on display. Many people may remember the play in the Alabama game, where three defenders had an angle on Burks, but it just did not matter.

The junior receiver finished with over 1,100 yards in his last year, with 66 receptions and 11 touchdowns.

The 21-year-old's strengths include several things. But his biggest may just be his speed, strength, and hands. If there is anything he needs to work on, route running may be in that category.

Burks often times just used his speed and not much of his footwork. However, he was also double-teamed and put into certain zone packages that it was kind of hard to tell how well the routes were.

Treylon Burks can be something truly special. He may need some work, but it is very possible he is available with the Chief's first draft pick.
