With everything that has happened lately to the Kansas City Chiefs, there is no telling what could happen going forward. A lot of people think that the Chiefs will be worse now, however that may not be the case.

Yes, the Chiefs have lost Tyreek Hill, one of the biggest game-changers at receiver. However, the Chiefs can now improve the roster thanks to the cap space created by the trade.

The moves the Chiefs made at the wide receiver position are showing they are confident in that area. They have added Juju Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and still have Mecole Hardman. And let's not forget about Travis Kelce.

The Chiefs will be fine in that area, which only leads me to believe they will target another position with one of their two first-round picks in this draft: pass rusher

The pass rushers in this draft are deep. The Chiefs need a combination of edge rushers and defensive tackles. With one of their first-round picks, the Chiefs should take a pass rusher.

They have both the 29th and 30th picks in the first round. With those picks, here are some players they could take that fit the system well.

Chiefs Potential Edge Rushers in 2022 NFL Draft

Jermaine Johnson, Florida State Seminoles

The Seminoles did not have the success they maybe had hoped for, however, they had a beast on the defensive side of the ball in Johnson.

Johnson finished with 14.0 sacks on the year, ranking among the top of the sacks list in the nation. He also finished with nine tackles for loss. Even with a 6-foot-5 frame, Johnson is very quick off the line and has flexibility like no other.

The things that would keep Johnson in the green room around the Chiefs' pick are very evident. He did not have a good season until he was on a bad team at Florida State. Johnson transferred to FSU after two seasons in Georgia.

Devonte Wyatt, Georgia Bulldogs

While Jordan Davis gets a ton of praise for the Georgia defensive line, Devonte Wyatt is a huge part of its success, as well.

Wyatt's stats aren't great, but his physicals make up for that. With four sacks on the year and six tackles for loss, the 6-foot-3 defensive lineman was the Robin to Jordan Davis' Batman. However, Wyatt was put into a lot of schemes at Georgia that freed up the linebackers to create a quicker pass rush.

As of right now, Wyatt does not have the arsenal of moves to win at the line consistently. His quick first step won't work every time at the next level. He also is a bit undersized for the position he plays.

These are just two guys that could be available for the Chiefs to pick in the first round. While there are projected many to draft a receiver, I think either of these players could help the team right away.
