Chiefs injury report: Pair of rookies miss practice for Kansas City, LT Josh Simmons’ status remains uncertain
The Chiefs remain in overall good health as they begin preparations for the Raiders.
The Kansas City Chiefs will look to get over the .500 mark for the first time this season as they host the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7.
As has been the case for the last couple of weeks, the Chiefs’ roster is in excellent health overall. The statuses of left tackle Josh Simmons and cornerback Kristian Fulton remain uncertain, but Kansas City is in good shape otherwise.
Chiefs’ Wednesday injury report
| Player | Injury | Wednesday |
| OT Josh Simmons | Not injury related- Personal | DNP |
| RB Brashard Smith | Illness | DNP |
| WR Xavier Worthy | Shoulder/Ankle | FP |
| WR Hollywood Brown | Achilles | FP |
| WR Nikko Remigio | Thumb | FP |
| DL Charles Omenihu | Ankle | FP |
| OT Jawaan Taylor | Knee | FP |
Observations:
- Simmons was a late scratch ahead of Kansas City’s matchup against the Detroit Lions last week. Last we knew he was in California dealing with a personal matter. Neither the Chiefs nor Simmons’ camp have provided any details on the matter. Backup OT Jaylon Moore filled in brilliantly for Simmons last week, and will do so again against the Raiders on Sunday if needed.
- Smith missed Wednesday’ practice with an illness. If he’s able to get through it quickly and practice this week he will likely play on Sunday.
- Cornerback Kristian Fulton, who missed his third consecutive game against Detroit despite practicing in full all of last week, has been completely removed from the injury report.
Raiders’ Wednesday injury report
| Player | Injury | Wednesday |
| TE Brock Bowers | Knee | DNP |
| RB Dylan Laube | Hamstring | DNP |
| WR Jakobi Meyers | Knee/Toe | DNP |
Observations:
- Bowers missed last week’s game with a knee injury, so he’ll be one to watch as the practice week progresses.
- Meyers has been the subject of trade rumors, so it’d be a surprise if he were to play in Week 7.
