The Kansas City Chiefs made a pair of roster moves ahead of training camp practice on Tuesday morning.

According to numerous reports from practice, the Chiefs have signed LB Olakunle Fatukasi and CB Duron Lowe to the 90-man offseason roster. These moves come after the defensive side of the ball has been stricken by injury as of late.

Fatukasi, 24, entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022. The 6-foot-2 and 240-pound linebacker spent time with the Bucs on the 53-man roster and the Denver Broncos on the practice squad last season. He signed a reserve/future contract with the New England Patriots when his practice squad contract in Denver expired.

The second-year linebacker was waived by the Patriots just a few days ago after having played 38 combined defense and special teams snaps against the Texans in preseason Week 1. He played collegiately at Rutgers with Isiah Pacheco.

Lowe's name might sound familiar to Chiefs fans because he attended the team's local pro day back in 2022. Lowe played at Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in Overland Park, Kansas before stops at Butler Community College, UTEP, and Liberty.

This cornerback and return specialist went undrafted in 2022, but he caught on with the Los Angles Rams following the draft. He spent his most recent time in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, landing on their practice squad late in the season before signing a reserve/future deal. He was released from Tampa just this last week.

One of the two corresponding roster moves: The Chiefs waived CB Anthony Witherstone, who injured his toe in the loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Expect him to be waived with an injury designation and an injury settlement forthcoming.

As for the other roster move, we'll keep you posted when it has been announced.
