When Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy went down with a shoulder injury against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1, many feared the worst.

Things weren’t looking great for the second-year star, and he was quickly diagnosed with a separated shoulder. However, coach Andy Reid delivered some good news on Wednesday when he said that Worthy having surgery wasn’t under consideration.

Worthy sat out practice on Wednesday, but to everybody’s surprise, he is participating on Thursday.

Whether or not Worthy is able to play on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles remains to be seen, but the fact that he’s able to participate in practice this quickly is a great sign moving forward. If Worthy logs another limited practice on Friday, he’ll likely get hit with the questionable designation for Sunday. Let’s check out both team’s full injury reports for Thursday below.

Eagles’ Thursday injury report

OL Landon DickersonBackLPFP

KEY: DNP = Did not participate | LP = Limited participation | FP = Full participation | NIR = Not injury related

Observations:

  • It appears that Goedert, McKee, and Shipley are in real danger of missing Sunday’s game. The big name here is Goedert, who is the Eagles’ starting TE and one of the more underrated ones in the league.
  • If McKee doesn’t play, Sam Howell will back up starting QB Jalen Hurts. Philly just acquired RB Tank Bigsby a few days ago, and he could make is debut for the Eagles in this matchup, especially if Shipley doesn’t play.
  • Williams popped up on the injury report on Thursday after not being on Wednesday’s. We’ll have a clearer idea about his availability on Friday.

Observations:

  • Royals did not practice again on Thursday, and likely won’t on Friday as Reid has already ruled him out for Sunday.
  • After being limited on Wednesday, Smith and Tranquill each practiced in full on Thursday. Unless one of them sustains a major setback, they’ll be good to go against Philly.
