New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick may end up going down as the greatest head coach in the history of the NFL.
But he's not currently the best head coach in the NFL. That honor goes to Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, according to Pro Football Network's most recent NFL head coach rankings.
From PFN:
While Reid and the Chiefs came up short of the Super Bowl for the first time in three years, the longtime play-caller is still the elite leader in the league. The Chiefs are perennial contenders, not just because of QB Patrick Mahomes but also because of Reid and his excellently crafted coaching staff. While Bill Belichick is the greatest head coach in league history, Reid is probably the best head coach ever with only one Super Bowl win. He’s also surpassed Belichick in recent success.

It's hard to beat Reid's consistency. The longtime head coach has led the Chiefs to six straight AFC West division titles. Reid has also taken Kansas City to four straight AFC Championship games (and led KC to a win in Super Bowl LIV).
Belichick, who was fourth in Pro Football Network's rankings, is 17-16 in two seasons without Tom Brady. Not exactly "best head coach in the NFL" type results.
If Reid manages to lead the Chiefs to another AFC West division title in 2022, it might be his most impressive coaching job yet. The AFC West should be the toughest division in the NFL in 2022. The Denver Broncos, Las Vegas Raiders, and Los Angeles Chargers all made key roster additions, while the Chiefs lost one of the best players in wide receiver Tyreek Hill.
Kansas City, however, is still the team to beat and that has a lot to do with the presence of Reid.
