Mecole Hardman has been nothing short of great on and off the field for the Kansas City Chiefs. He is the character everyone needs on their team. Someone who is goofy as all get out.
There is one other thing that Mecole Hardman is. The fourth-year receiver is unselfish. When he has proven he can hang in the NFL time and time again, he hadn't complained once when he did not get his time, when he should have.
Before any fans start hating on Hardman, go check the stats, he has been great the last few years in Kansas City. Now he is tasked with helping the team get back in the direction they are needed. So for him to do what he did recently, was pretty cool.
Hardman shares thoughts on potential Chiefs draft pick
Usually, players do not share their thoughts on who a team should draft or who they want to play with unless it's a quarterback. Patrick Mahomes did it with Clyde Edwards-Helaire a few years ago. However, Mahomes has earned that right with an MVP and a Super Bowl MVP. Also, let's not forget the half-billion dollars the Chiefs are paying him either.
Mecole Hardman was in a Twitter spaces the other day that was on the topic of the NFL Draft. With the draft less than a week away, he was asked a very simple question. They asked Hardman, which potential Georgia Bulldog prospect would have the biggest impact in their first year.
Mecole Hardman responded with "George Pickens."
Pickens is a receiver that has been all over the Chiefs draft boards as of late. For Mecole Hardman to not only hype him up, but to say that he will have the biggest impact is huge. Especially considering he could soon be teammates with Pickens.
This shows that Hardman just wants to win, and that he also values Pickens as a prospect. I think that if Pickens is available with either of their first round picks, Pickens may be picked.
