Former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is an active media personality nowadays. Between his work with Fox as an analyst and on-field appearances, he is still quite involved with the NFL. He appeared on Tyreek Hill's podcast earlier this week and discussed a plethora of topics. That included a discussion regarding former Eagles head coach and current Kansas City Chiefs HC Andy Reid.
Vick mentioned that Reid may be the greatest coach of all time. That's quit the hot take – considering his competition in the history of the NFL.
“I was actually thinking this year like, after Andy won the Super Bowl, he only got two, but he went to like four or five NFC Championship Games [and] every year [the Chiefs were] in the AFC Championship Game,” Vick said, via USA Today. “He might be the greatest coach of all time. You don’t have to win championships to be considered. You know, I understand [Bill] Belichick and [Tom] Brady and that whole dynamic. But Coach [Reid] did it in Philly, and then he doing it in KC. I’m always shout out coach like I love that man to death, like for real literally I’d do anything for him.” — ProFootballTalk
Reid is fifth on the all time wins list with 247 regular-season victories. His 22 postseason wins are noticeably less than Belichick's 31, but Reid could have plenty more in the tank with this Chiefs core. Belichick has 298 regular-season wins in comparison.
it's clear that Reid had a massive impact on Vick. He holds him to very high regards, but his offensive prowess certainly deserves plenty of praise. Reid's work with much different types of QBs during his NFL coaching career is an absolute marvel.
