National outlet continues to push pointless storyline involving Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have had a narrative about them all year long, but it started in the off-season, and for some reason continues even though the Chiefs have continued to prove it wrong.
This off-season, when the Chiefs traded away superstar receiver Tyreek Hill, the entire NFL immediately started to doubt the Chiefs. Where would the offense come from now, and oh yeah, don’t forget that the Chiefs won’t make the playoffs this year and would finish last in the division. All of those things were said by national media outlets.
But, the Chiefs are doing well, and they sit at the top of the division at 5-2, while everyone that was supposed to be better is currently crumbling on their own terms.
And in terms of the trade, Hill is doing his own thing, too, still looking like one of the best receivers in the league. So, if both sides are doing well, why do these national media outlets keep trying to push a storyline that should have stopped a while ago?
Recently Pro Football Focus made a twitter post regarding the top two players with the highest receiving grades in the league, and it just so happened to be Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce with a 90.9 and Dolphins’ receiver Tyreek Hill with the second highest at 90.5.
All of that is great, you love to see current Chiefs players doing well and former players, for the most part. The part that doesn’t make sense to me is the caption, that read:
“Imagine these two on the same offense.”
I think it’s time this narrative or storyline, whatever you want to call it, is put to bed. These two are both great players and both are doing well without each other. And, both teams are doing well, so why?
The Chiefs are one of the best teams in the league without Tyreek Hill. And, in my opinion, they look much better without him.
Hot take, I know.
